French Onion Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

9 - 10 decent sized Idaho Potatoes
1 Cup - Butter or Margarine
1 Cup - Sour Cream French Onion Dip
2 Tblspoons - Black Pepper

Preparations

Start by peeling and dicing the potatoes and boil them in a large pot. They are done when you stab them with a fork and you can retrieve the fork without and potato pieces attached to it (about 20 - 30 minutes). Drain the potatoes and place them back in the pot. Use an electronic hand mixer to beat the potatoes until your preferences while adding the other ingredients into the pot as well. This recipe makes them a bit thick and I like them with a bit of chunk to it as well, but if you are looking for something a little more on the creamier side you can always add a little milk or buttermilk to it also.
